Neither RHP John Lackey nor RHP Chris Tillman has been all that great lately, but when you look at their whole bodies of work, you have to be impressed. Tillman is 16-6 on the year with a 3.70 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP, while Lackey is 9-12 with a 3.56 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP. The truth of the matter is that Tillman has probably deserved a little worse, while Lackey has probably deserved a little better. Here?s the stat that cannot be ignored, though.
