Maybe it really wasn?t Anthony Hargrove?s voice saying, ?Give me my money.?

The video/audio of a comment supposedly made by the former Saints defensive end during the third quarter of the 2009 NFC title game provides further proof of Drew Brees? point (even if it wasn?t articulated the best way possible) that the media has more power than anyone realizes.

The NFL, however, fully realizes.

And the NFL used the power of the media to make millions believe on Monday that Saints defensive Anthony Hargrove said, ?Bobby, give me my money? after being told by assistant head coach Joe Vitt that Vikings quarterback Brett Favre may have suffered a broken leg in the 2009 NFC title game.

The seed was planted and fertilized when a dozen members of the media covering Monday?s appeal hearing received an invitation to witness an encore performance of former prosecutor Mary Jo White?s summary of evidence.? The relevant excerpt from the transcript of the media session contains White?s explanation, comments from NFL Security chief Jeff Miller, comments from NFL spokesman Greg Aiello, and two of the members of the media ? Peter King and Jim Varney.

White initially explained that the video contains Hargrove?s ?voice and picture.?? After the video was shown once to the members of the media, Aiello suggested that the media pay attention to Hargrove winking and smiling after hearing that Favre broke his leg.? White later claims that Hargrove ?smiles and winks and states, ?Bobby, pay me my money.??

White, perhaps not recognizing in that moment the ironic link to a very common lawyer joke, says, ?Because you can see his lips moving.?

But here?s the problem, and I didn?t notice this the first time I saw the video.?

When Hargrove?s lips can be seen moving, his voice can?t be heard.

Only after Hargrove?s face is fully obscured by the head and shoulders of defensive tackle Remi Ayodele are the words ?give me my money? audible.

No one has questioned this because the media present at the session was told ? and in turn told the rest of us ? that Hargrove said, ?Bobby, give me my money.?? Even Peter King, who seemed curious and a bit skeptical in the transcript, affirmatively stated twice in his article following the media session that Hargrove said what the NFL claims he said.

Watch the video.? When Hargrove?s lips are moving, no corresponding voice can be heard.? So if his voice wasn?t picked up by the NFL Films microphones when we could see his lips moving, how can we suddenly hear him say, ?Bobby, give my me money? after his lips and head and mouth are obstructed?

Also, don?t forget that Hargrove didn?t apply the hit that resulted in Favre possibly having a broken leg.? Instead, Favre had been hit low by McCray and high by Ayodele.? So why would Hargrove be asking for any money at all?

None of this changes the fact that, barring evidence that the phrase was added artificially after the fact (I?m not saying it was . . . yet), someone said ?give me my money.?? Which supports the conclusion that there was a bounty on Favre.

But I don?t believe the video shown by the league to the media shows that Hargrove said it.? And I can?t believe that the NFL presumes conclusively that he said it.? And I can?t believe the NFL sold it as fact to the media.? And I can?t believe the media swallowed the hook.

And I can?t believe I didn?t pay close enough attention to figure it out before today.

And given Hargrove?s passionate denial that it?s his voice, I believe him.

This serious flaw in the presentation of the evidence necessarily undermines the league?s entire investigation, further reinforcing the importance of asking tough questions about the proof, the process, and all other aspects of the case.? Regardless of whether the players are guilty or innocent, the NFL has peddled to the public, via the media, a stream of inconsistencies, mischaracterizations, and embellishments that raise legitimate concerns about the competence and/or the motives of everyone whose fingerprints are on the file.

Bleeding Heart Tetra, Hyphessobrycon erythrostigma is a peaceful mid-dwelling community fish in the aquarium.

Grows to the size of 64mm and lives about 5 years. It requires warm water (78 degrees F or 26 degrees C).

This fish, like most tetras, needs soft, acid water, pH 6.5-6.8, with plenty of plants.

Bleeding Hearts are generally a peaceful fish but fin nipping may become a problem, Males can be territorial.

Keep them in a small school (6 or more) and try not to keep them with fish with larger fins such as angelfish and bettas. They do well in a variety of community tanks, and like most tetras they do best in groups and with bushy plants.

Make a great tank mate for corydoras and other bottom dwelling species. They are peaceful when they are surrounded by their own kind with a few exceptions, just like tiger barbs. They are also mischievous, nipping at others' tails and entering their territory looking for food.

Female is more full bodied and the male has a larger dorsal fin.
Hard but not impossible. They have been bred in captivity and are egg layers.
Are you a cat person?
They have a splendid body shape and, after a month or two in captivity, their colors get very beautiful, especially when fed (two or three days a week) with frozen brine shrimp.

The dorsal fin of the males can become long and flowing. Both sexes have the eye-catching, blood-red spot at the heart area. Both also have the black/white patch on the dorsal fin.

The natural distribution is described as the Upper Amazon River basin. The Bleeding Heart Tetra or Spotfin Tetra is readily available. It can be obtained from most fish and pet stores, as well as online.

Cadillac CUE makes its way to XTS, navigates with ease in NYC (hands-on)

Navigating those mean Manhattan streets is an intimidating chore for any driver, with or without a battery of high-tech in-car aides. But after an introduction to Cadillac CUE, it's easy to see the benefit of such a comprehensive system. CUE isn't your typical in-dash GPS nav -- sure it can get you on your way just as well as any other navigation system, but a bounty of sensors and displays allow you to keep your eyes on the road and avoid collisions, while also providing the smartphone integration and media playback support you'd expect from a high-end 2012 automobile. The base system, included standard with 2012 and 2013 XTS and SRX models and available as an option with the ATS, is centered around an 8-inch, 800 x 400 capacitive touch LCD with anti-scratch, anti-glare and oleophobic coatings to keep the display in tip-top shape and completely viewable from both the driver and passenger seats.

The display flips open to reveal a lit storage compartment with a USB port for connecting and charging your smartphone, while capacitive-touch buttons below the panel provide haptic feedback and a variety of control options (you can tap or slide your finger across to adjust volume, for example). Add-ons include a 12.3-inch, 1280 x 480 "instrument cluster" that provides speed and fuel information in a familiar readout, along with directions, phone call info and music selection. Also available is a slick heads-up display, which features a more subdued color pallet (compared to the vibrant LCDs) and outputs key info, including speed limits and collision warnings, while also minimizing ghosting thanks to a wedge-shaped windshield, which thins as you move from top to bottom. Two more USB ports in the center console let you sync up and charge two additional devices, while an AUX input enables older devices to pipe out tunes.

Now, much of this may seem familiar -- we took a peek at CUE at last year's CTIA -- but this is the first time that we've actually had a chance to take the tech for a spin in a drivable 2013 Cadillac XTS, and New York City seems like the perfect venue for pushing the system to its limits. Inputting a destination is as simple as typing an address into Google Maps (though CUE uses a proprietary maps app based on NAVTEQ's database). As we drove from our office near Union Square to the Financial District, the car let us know when we were cutting things a bit too close, as seat vibrations alerted us to obstacles on either side. All the while, adjusting music and climate was simple as can be, and HUD-based directions gave us little excuse to look away from the busy road. After arriving at our destination, we slid on over to the passenger seat to film the action while an expert drove. If a new Caddy is in your future, you should be able to pick up a CUE-equipped car within the next few weeks. For now, you can jump past the break for a front-seat look as we cruise on through the 212.
